Design Sprint: Tools for innovation, aligning vision and user driven solutions

September 5 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Primoz, Janze and Danijela come from Slovenia with more than 10 years of experience.

They lead the design team at D.labs startup agency helping startup founders get their digital products off the ground.

They research users, ensure that there is a good product to market fit, conceptualize product, validate ideas and run usability tests. They are user and data driven.

Their experience ranges in products and services across a variety of domains, including online learning, biotech, advertising, fashion, online marketplaces and entertainment, medical apps, etc.

When solving design problems there are some common starting places, proved methodologies, existing solution to similar problems. Everything is applicable to a point, but to find the right solution, it’s important to make it unique to work for your own case. Case in point, Design Sprint is a well known process developed at Google Ventures by Jake Knapp. It’s used to design and test features before they are developed. D.Labs startup agency adopted this framework and adjusted it to the needs of their clients.

Our guests would like to share with you their Design Sprint experience. Initially, they used this framework in an effort to ideate on the next product killer value offering, but often ended up with a different result. While working with entrepreneurs the design sprint often turns into a learning session for key members of the leadership team (founders and co-founders, CEOs). Startup founders learn what it means to do research, to have clear definitions, good UX, how to prioritize, and how to better understand the digital landscape.

In short, the theme evolved into “how to use design sprint to create a learning opportunity for a company.” Today we will walk you through the steps using the tangible example and let you draw your own conclusions. This is a hands on workshop and your engagement is the key contributing success factor. Get ready for an eye opener.
